Just some of my favorite pics...
This is my favorite photo, due to several factors including the photo composition and my memory of the process of taking it (waiting for the sun to be in the right place to reflect on the water). But also because this was taken during the Grateful Dead run at Oxford, Maine in 1988. This was the lake at our campground. What you don't see are the tents and dozens of friends hanging out and having a good time.
While staying in Watkins Glen during our vacation, Patti and I took a scenic air tour of Niagara Falls from Costa Flying Service. It was a wonderful flight on a beautiful day. We circled the falls at 3000 feet. Joe Costa, our pilot, was happy to keeping circling and circling until we were satisfied. Great guy. In this shot you can see the rainbow created by the mist.
This is a closer shot of the falls. Click on the image to see the larger version, and you will be able to see the Maid of the Mist boat heading into the horseshoe.
Our vacation in 2000 was quite the aerial adventure. After our Niagara Falls plane ride, we took a hot air balloon ride in the Thousand Islands area. Our flight was with Champagne Balloon Adventures, of Alexandria Bay, NY. This is a shot of our companion balloon taken from our balloon.
